Preventative Health Care

Our Doctors and staff here want you to know how absolutely important, we feel,  it is to have annual wellness exams for your pet(s).  Dr. Robbins will check many different things during your pet’s physical exam including: eyes, ears, teeth, heart and lungs (among countless other things). Unfortunately, because a physical examination cannot detect all diseases, it is recommended that we perform blood tests yearly or bi-yearly for patients that have prior history of illness or are over 7 years of age. There are many different tests that can be run on your pet(s). Blood tests would include: General Health Profile, Complete Blood Count, Urinalysis, Thyroid Profiles and Senior Health Profiles. These tests are very important for the simple reason that it can help detect potential health problems earlier, giving you more time to spend with your family friend.

Vaccinations and Annual Testing

Vaccinations are very important in an animals life.  Vaccination recommendations are determined by our doctor and are based upon specific risks of your pet(s).  The only vaccination that is required by Indiana and Ohio state law is the Rabies vaccination, however all vaccinations are recommended.

Radiology

We offer in-house digital radiography services with automatic processing. This ensures that our clients will get their in-house x-rays reviewed while here for their appointment.
We also have the option to refer any radiographs taken in house to a radiologist. This allows us to easily get a second opinion on our x-rays by having a board certified veterinary radiologist review the radiographs and consult with our doctor.

On-Site Laboratory

Blood Chemistry Analyzer - This machine is used to check the enzymes and levels of your pets kidneys, liver, glucose, and more. With fast results, we are able to run in house pre-surgical bloodwork  prior to your pet's surgery to rule out any underlying issues.
Complete Blood Count Analyzer - this machine allows us to quickly evaluate cell counts in your pets blood. We are able to see the red blood cell count, white blood cell count, and platelets.
Sedivue Dx Analyzer - We are able to analyze urine samples in-house and get results within 10 minutes. The sedivue is able to take images of the urine sample and show bacteria, crystals, blood cells, and more inside the urine. This is a great tool if your pet(s) are having urinary issues.
